Next steps

What happens next

  1. We review your enquiry

Tell us who is involved, what happened and any deadline. We reply within one business day.

  2. We check that we can act

We carry out conflict checks and explain what information and documents we will need.

  3. We agree the terms

The scope of our work and the basis of the fee are confirmed in writing before work starts. Sending an enquiry alone does not create a lawyer-client relationship.

Frequently asked

How quickly will I get a reply?

We reply to every enquiry within one business day. For something genuinely urgent, Klitos Platis can be reached directly at klitos@kleanthousplatis.com.

Do I need an appointment before visiting the office?

Yes, we recommend arranging one by email or telephone first, so that the person who deals with your kind of matter is the one who sees you. The office is at Florinis 7, Greg Tower, 2nd Floor, Office 202, 1065 Nicosia, open Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00.

Can you act for me if I am abroad?

Yes. We act regularly for clients who live outside Cyprus, by email, telephone and video call, and a great deal can be carried out at a distance where the law allows it, including through a power of attorney drafted for the specific transaction.

What does a first assessment cost?

It depends on the matter. Write to us with a short account of it and we will tell you the basis of the fee before anything is taken on. For standard property transactions we give a fixed completion fee in advance, and the published fixed-fee services carry their own prices.

Am I your client once I have written to you?

Not yet, and this matters where a deadline is running. A matter is taken on after conflict and compliance checks have been carried out, the facts and documents have been reviewed, and the engagement, its scope and the basis of the fee have been confirmed in writing. No lawyer and client relationship exists before that stage, so tell us at once if a limitation period or a contractual deadline is close.
