Kleanthous & Platis is a partner-led law firm in Nicosia. We advise individuals, companies, property owners, contractors, investors and clients based outside Cyprus.
Our work centres on property and construction, commercial disputes, debt recovery, corporate and commercial matters, and selected private client work. We aim to give advice that is clear, properly grounded in the documents and useful in practice.
Direct partner involvement
Andreas Kleanthous has practised law in Cyprus for more than three decades. His work includes litigation, personal injury and insurance claims, debt recovery, administrative law, real estate, wills, probate and administration of estates.
Klitos Platis advises on litigation, corporate and commercial matters, property and construction. His contentious work includes pleadings, interim applications, evidence, negotiations and trial preparation.
Clients deal directly with the lawyer responsible for the matter. Where an instruction crosses more than one area of law, the advice is coordinated so that the client receives one clear view of the transaction or dispute.

Documents first. We review the relevant contracts, correspondence and evidence before recommending a course of action.
Clear scope. We identify the immediate priorities, the proposed work and the fee basis before substantive work begins.
Practical communication. We explain the available options, important deadlines and the next decision required from the client.
Clients in Cyprus and abroad
The firm acts for local and international clients. Meetings can be held remotely and, where appropriate, transactions may be completed through a properly prepared power of attorney. English and Greek consultations are available.
Starting a matter
An initial enquiry should identify the parties, provide a short factual outline and state any urgent deadline. No lawyer-client relationship is created until the firm has completed its conflict and regulatory checks and has confirmed the engagement and scope of work in writing.
