Three appointments, one firm, one renewal

A company established outside the Union that sells into it collects the same three requirements from different directions: a lender or counterparty wants a process agent named in the contract, the GDPR wants an EU representative named in the privacy notice, and everyone from banks to customs wants an address that answers. Bought separately, from three providers in three countries, that is three renewals, three letterboxes and three chances for the important letter to sit unopened.

The pack puts all three with one Nicosia law firm, on one engagement, with one renewal date, and everything that arrives is scanned to you the same business day with anything that smells of proceedings flagged as such.

How to appoint us

What is in it

The three parts, and what each answers

Process agent appointment

Named in your facility agreements, ISDA documentation, guarantees and commercial contracts as the agent for service of process. Signed acceptance in the form your documents require, service accepted and forwarded the same business day.

EU representative, Article 27 GDPR

Named in your privacy notice as the Union contact point for supervisory authorities and data subjects, with your Article 30 record held at our offices, ready to be produced on request.

€750 alone

Business address and mail handling

Florinis 7, Greg Tower, central Nicosia, for your correspondence in Cyprus. Mail logged, scanned and emailed the same business day; originals forwarded or held, no charge per item.

Plus VAT where it applies. The EU representative element applies while the company has no establishment in the Union; the process agent element covers documents under contracts that name us. Each part is also available on its own.

Built for the company that is everywhere except here

The typical buyer is a UK company that lost its EU footing with Brexit, a US software or e-commerce business with European users, or a technology company anywhere outside the Union that signs contracts under Cyprus or English law and processes European data. It has no office in the Union and does not want one; it wants the obligations answered, in one place, by someone who will recognise a statutory deadline when it lands in the post.

What the pack is not: an establishment, a branch, a tax presence or a substitute for incorporating in Cyprus. Where that is what you actually need, we say so, and company formation is a different page.

Common questions

Who is the pack for?

A company established outside the European Union that sells into it or contracts under Cyprus law: typically UK companies since Brexit, US software and e-commerce businesses, and technology companies worldwide. One law firm holds all three appointments, one renewal date covers them, and one letterbox is watched by lawyers.

Can I take only one or two of the services?

Yes. Each service is available on its own at its own published fee: the process agent appointment at €600, the EU representative appointment at €750, and the registered office or business address at €400, each per year. The pack simply takes the three together at €1,450 instead of €1,750.

Can I add the other services later?

Yes. An appointment taken alone can be upgraded to the pack at the next renewal, with the pack price applying from that renewal. Nothing needs to be re-signed except the appointment being added.

What checks do you run before accepting?

A conflict check against the firm's clients, and know-your-client checks on the company and its principals, as the law requires of a Cyprus law firm. The appointments exist, and the fee is due, only once we confirm in writing and the agreements are signed.

How fast is it in place?

After the checks we return the signed appointments within one business day, together with the wording for your privacy notice and contracts. If a closing or an audit is waiting, say so and we prioritise accordingly.
